Professor Bas Baskaran is the Pro Vice Chancellor International Research Partnership and Associate Dean International and Partnerships, Faculty of Science, Engineering and Built Environment at Deakin University (Australia).

Under Professor Baskaran’s leadership, the Faculty of Science, Engineering and Built Environment at Deakin University has been very active in developing innovative educational programs. Deakin has been delivering online / distance educational programs over the past 40 years and during this period it has developed as the premier Australian Higher education provider integrated the digital technology for the development and delivery of the programs. Deakin is ranked eighth worldwide and first in Australia in the first-ever world university rankings based on the performance of Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) in 2019.

Associate Professor Takako Ochi, Gunma University (Japan)

Associate Professor Takako Ochi is in charge of international partnership and study abroad programs at Gunma University, a national university in Japan.

Under her coordination, Gunma University has been actively developing online programs for their students during Covid-19 pandemic like online joint classes and remote internship programs in collaboration with foreign partners universities. Gunma University has initiated a new project named Smart campus to campus (SCC) to share the educational and research resources among partner universities through online platform.
